  • Type Preretirement Survivor Annuity Lump Sum Benefit
    Age Any age at death with Surviving Spouse, and not retired Any age at death
    Service and Other
    1. Vested; and
    2. Married at least one year prior to death; and
    3. At least one covered Hour on or after January 1, 1976
    1. 4,000 Hours of Pension Credit (without or following any Permanent Break in Service); and
    2. Spouse not eligible for the Preretirement Survivor Annuity, or elects an immediate Lump Sum Benefit in lieu of the full Preretirement Survivor Annuity
    Basic Benefit 50% of the amount you would have received had you terminated employment on your date of death, survived to age 55, and retired under the 50% Joint and Survivor Benefit Option. Benefits begin no earlier than your earliest retirement date (age 55), or the month following your date of death, if later. Reduced by value of any immediate Lump Sum Benefit paid to Spouse. Total employer contributions paid on your behalf (since any permanent Break in Service) to the Plan, less any Plan payments made or due on your behalf.
